Exactly. They make a big fuss of the low 0-60 times but then you need to park up for 30 minutes whilst Reginald Molehusband comes past in his 1.0 Polo and reaches his destination whilst you are still explaining to SWMBO that it will be only be another 5 minutes and then you can do another 120 miles, and would she mind if the airconditioning was switched off for the rest of the way.
Reginald Molehusband...There is a blast from the past. What a parking ace he was.

Electric is the future but not without the infrastructure to accomodate the cars that need charging. I personally think once storage and dispensing of Hydrogen is sorted Electric will be gone. It's just too inconvienient. Great if you have a new house with a drive and charging point of course but they are few and far between, especially in City centres.

Hydrogen is an alternative - anything green. Unfortunately too many of the world's leaders are completely invested in oil, gas and all the other fossil fuels that are causing the world to head to destruction. Time for the old slogan of change "think global, act local".

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe and it burns really cleanly. If we can find an energy-efficient way of scraping it off the other stuff it’s usually stuck to it would be a great alternative and be much closer to the convenience of petrol / diesel.

And Hydrogen cars produce zero harmful emissions.

No worry either about harmful emissions from the power station producing electricity for your plug in hybrid, unless it comes from Ivanpah in California

This may be a little off topic but if you are interested in power production from solar power Google Ivanpah in California and Megalim in Israel , I was involved in both of these projects, the technology behind them is fantastic.

Anyone familiar with when hydrogen vehicles will start to roll out and what is the infrastructure needed?

Is this suitable for some countries more than others?

You can buy a Hyundai for just short of £70,000 but there are only 20 filling stations around the country
