Suneko "Amorphous Diamond" Super Stainless

Practically all of our blades will go on for way longer that we think they will and certainly use them for. My son goes 20-30 shaves on a blade without thinking. More if he's not paying attention, otherwise tends to swap out of boredom or curiosity.

I don't think there's any magic to these blades, certainly no more than any other blade ... or everyone would be doing it, right?

What I am interested to hear from folks who actually know is, this technology is presumably not new? I mean, think back to when every brand had some sort of Diamond this or Diamond that or Diamond version of something or other in their range. If anything, it's the platinum sputtering that holds the edge; the diamond thing is supposedly a microscopic neatening of the edge. Yes? No?

They're still good blades, though. I'm not that excited to use them again, but will keep my stash for now ... if unused for the next year or so, I'll probably PIF 'em.

I finished up on my Longevity Test with the Suneko.
52 shaves, before it started to tug, and become uncomfortable.
Well done. I plan to continue using them on March. So far I have only shaved once . First shave was sharp, a bit too much but very comfortable. What razor worked better for you?
