TBH I don't think the soaps have been bad, it's more than likely user error.

The soaps I don't like are some of the most popular and highly regarded by everyone else but me.:oops:

I don't like the ones I've tried from Stirling, OSP and Phoenix and Beau. I know I know. :oops:

I don't like the soap base on them. I find them too oily and greasy.

I suppose it comes down to skin type Rob.
My skin needs nourishing which is why I like the ones you find greasy.

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (10)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger (vintage)
Shaving Soap: Vreto Citrus Mix
Aftershave Balm: Nivea sensitive Cooling
Aftershave: Brut Original

The combo sails on. With the prospect of another hot day (comparatively speaking), a shot of Nivea Cooling ASB was most welcome. I'm near BBS and refreshed.
