Turning today created this handle from an beauty of a blank.... leads to knot transplant time into its new temporary home....how long will it last.

99% finished just needs a final polish then set the 24mm silvertip into it, then drill the razor stand to suit whichever razor

Black Palm Wood, one of the most difficult woods I have worked with yet, the way it grows it just wants to rip apart and throw bit chips at you, but stick with it and it looks lovely when finished from the long streaks down the side to dots in the grain at the ends. I think this is going to look amazing when final coating is applied.

What did you use to fill the holes? I'm going to have a go at something using some Applewood and I maynhave to deal with some splits ... not sure yet as the wood's not completely dry.

There will always be demand for quality custom brushes no matter what th.e Chinese try and tempt us with.

3 colour mix white, copper and purple, should get at least 65mm x 40mm tall handle from this blank....just need to pick a shape

2nd brush made this year, three colour mix of white, copper and violet drilled and fitted with a 28mm knot. What I love about working with resin is you have an idea of what you thinknit will look like when you pour it but as it cures it moves and flows and you get a gorgeous colour mix like this.
