@Acer89 Apparently Golden Retrievers this colour a very rare these days. They were culled in the 50s because the paler versions were all the fashion and dogs this colour weren't deemed desirable. Both his parents were pale, but the father had the gene that can create the brownish-red colour.

I do know that mine had a lot of Nortonwood history in his pedigree. He died suddenly at the age of 15. Miss him every day. Dogs should live longer.
