Oak Handle Brush

Just finished another brush. This handle is Oak from a tree which is situated in some local woods where I used to play as a child. The knot is a 24mm G5A synthetic which I have finally used. I will test it this evening but may end up changing it to a badger as I prefer (I think) natural knots. Usual bronze set into the handle from a keyring I made a while back.

I would like to get a lathe as using a scalpel and needle files is quite fiddly!

Beautiful piece. What have you used for finish?
Ten or eleven coats of Finishing Oil. I just keep coating until the wood doesn't absorb anything.

Thank you all for your kind words.

I used it yesterday evening and it feels good in the hand although the knot lacks 'spirit' to me ... it is too soft with no scitch.

My compliments.
Really very beautiful and well made.
Given my poor manual skills, I am always amazed by human mastery.
Bravo again!
