Have some passwrds in an encrypted file, some in the browser. Created passwords with pwgen -y <somenumberbigger than16>. Having to reencrypt the file after creating a new login became a nuisance, hence saving in the browser. Then browser became a problem because the login.json file got corrupted. Goodbye passwords.
Now use enpass on the laptop and on the phone, with one synced to the other. Disadvantage: on the phone it is a paid product, however paying unlocks the limit on different logins saved. The company can go bankrupt whatever they like, I still can reach my passwords.
Advantage: Got secure backups and (advantage over my own encrypted file) autofill. Autogenerate complex passwords.
