Indeed! I snapped it up when Paul put it on BST and have enjoyed using it regularly.

They are nice shavers those bellied hollow Korrat blades.

That's one of my old razors, I made the scales just before I sold it, from sunburst orange kirinite and a blood-red acrylic wedge.

I'm curious now. What were the original scales?
I love this razor even though I have fallen foul of the toe at least twice! I can't bring myself to mute it.

Those Korrat-bellied hollow blanks have been around for some time, I have a Korrat with exactly the same grind only difference is it's not stamped 14 -2.0

It really depends on how destroyed the scales are. The good thing about restoring is that, one by one, you leqrn something new. I restored recently the horn scales on a humongous W&B, it had a few flaws some months ago I wouldn't have thought possible.

However, if they are beyond repair, I toss them with no regrets.

It's called Unicode. You use letters from weird languages that look like upside-down Latin script letters.
Or just google for 'upside down text'

I try to keep scales as original whenever possible.

That said, I'm much less adamant about it today than in the past. The newer scale materials are very nice... and very alluring!
