I'd have bought it but I'm a bit wary about the number of blades in the head.

It looks like a 5 blade head?

It's clearly not enough blades.

It needs at least 7.

9 would be perfect.

I heated my former Gillette cartridge razors years ago...by which I mean I burnt them.

Where does it say in this thread that there's no demand? Also where does it say that it’s sold out? The website still shows it as available for pre-order for delivery in August.

Still if you want to spend £250 on a hot Fusion go right ahead.

I said, it is an excellent price. Dirt cheap.

It should be sold out before even pre order.

This hot head Fusion is superb. No more tugging on ATG pass. The hot head makes the difference.

This razor is Porsche and my safety razors are Volvo. Or maybe some Ladas.

I wouldn't mind trying it out if it were around £20, but not for the current asking price.
Having said that, if someone gets panic attacks at the sight of a DE/SE and craves a luxury shaver of a style they're already using, it might be interesting for them.
There just doesn't seem to be that much obvious added value.
