Fatip Appreciation

Setup:
Fatip Gentile Wood (walnut)
Blade: Astra green
Shaving cream(sample): OAK

The razor is light. I think the handle is hallow.
Blade alignment: 10 times loading the blade, only one time it was misaligned.

Shave: strange as there is almost no blade feel, but you see the whiskers disappear.
ATG you get some blade feel.
Cuts very close to the skin. 2 passes should get you BBS. Very efficient razor.

cons:
QC - ther is a weld spot on the top cap in an area that weld should never be.
Very light, did not expect that. Pressure is needed. The whiskers caught in the comb teeth are not cut as close as the ones that are in between the teeth. Pressure should fix this, or just pass second movement over them.

The soap: small quantity, rich, creamy, satin lather.
Smooth glide.
In the photo that is what was left after the shave.
Going to put it aside until i get bored on Outlaw.

Having shaved multiple times with Fatip Wood Gentile i have come to the conclusion that it is the ultimate razor, perfectly constructed. It is very efficient and risk of cuts and nicks are virtually impossible, having almost no gap, blade firmly clamped in the razor, no blade chatter whatsoever. If some razors tend to give you nicks and cuts if you apply pressure, fatip craftsmanship is flawless, offering BBS in 2 pass even with a mild blade.
