During Lockdown I got into the habit of making some apple strudels every week, made one for the house and a spare for some older people nearby, this went down went very well with custard or ice cream and a pot of black coffee, a weekly treat. The extent of this treat became apparent when I couldn't fasten my jeans. So its diet time, after two weeks the jeans are ok now but for the time being these apple dishes are a feast for the eyes only.
